Ilayathalapathy Vijay is back again with his next movie ‘Vetaikaran’ which is being directed by the newcomer Babu Sivan. The film is made under the banners of Sun Pictures and produced by AVM Saravanan and B Gurunath Meiyappan. Vijay and Anushka paired up for the first time and it’s said that the chemistry among them have worked out well in the film. ‘Vettaikaran’ will be a feast to his fans with all the commercial factors packed, like all his recent films. Madalasa Sharma, Sri Hari and Salim Ghouse have played.
This is the new film of Vijay after Villu. Reusing the titles of old blockbusters is the new trend in tamil cinema. Vijay is also doing the same.
The film has music by rock composer Vijay Antony. Cinematography is by Gopinath and editing is by V.T. Vijayan. After the disappointing run of his Kuruvi and Villu, Vijay has pinned his hopes on Vettaikkaaran, based on the story of an energetic young man and his angst against baddies in society. According to sources, Vijay plays an auto rickshaw driver who works hard to bring justice to innocent people.
